I want my film to be very romantic and nostalgic and thus my mood board reflects this with pictures of vintage bicycles, love letters, flowers, vintage camera and pictures for times gone by.
Conventions of Romantic films often include romantic gestures e.g. giving some one flowers. They often follow Todorov's theory usually starting with a happy person, something bad happens with a guy and then in the end they get together and everything is OK.
Technically, shot reverse shots are used to show eye contact when speaking and lots of close ups are used to show reactions and emotions. Settings are usually romantic, e.g. a beach or a restaurant and mood lighting is often used to create atmosphere.
